Aiden Enns is the editor and founder of Geez magazine. After 8 years as a journalist for the church press his faith came alive when he started working at Adbusters magazine. He left his post as managing editor and started Geez magazine in 2005 to inspire activists with a spiritual bias and expose Christian complicity with oppression. Winner of an Utne Media Award in 2009, Geez mixes Frankfurt School skepticism of corporate-sponsored techno-fixes with a contemplative intuition that we’re all connected to everything on this delicate planet. It’s an ad-free, non-profit quarterly magazine dedicated to print with excerpts available online (see geezmagazine.org
). Aiden holds graduate degrees in religion and journalism, has taught voluntary simplicity at college, used a composting toilet in an urban home (the bucket method), and has vowed to avoid flying in planes (except for family emergencies). He lives in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
